Yup. In their LTD plan. The other two don't have that limitation. I guess most don't get that plan ( I wouldn't ) as we've never heard of that issue as far as I can recall.
I posted a link to their three plans in an earlier post in this thread.

OK, I see only on the cheapo plan. That makes sense. I have 2 years left on my GS ERS then I think I am switching to Coach net. Too much bad stuff about GS towing concerns me.

I can't swear to this but I doubt there are 6 tow companies (name a covered service) in East Horsefeathers Pick-a-State to choose from where Coach Net has a lock on the 5 good ones and GS has Larry Darrel and Darrel Bad Service Provider, but I guess it could happen.... And a bad service call can happen to anyone - I have personally picked wrong in an RV repair adventure. I leave it to GS now - and Coach Net is preferred by others. Your choice.

More than likely - again not swearing to anything - the available services are probably shared between the two companies in many areas. There may be service providers in an area that won't work with either one or the other. In one case with a battery issue - GS could get me a guy - but it was going to be several hours. They said if I could find someone quicker - I could pay the bill myself - let them know -submit a claim - and they would make a determination on covering the claim. I did - they did - I was good to go before their guy could arrive. That's kind of the way it works. And it does work.

Hopefully I redeemed myself. The bottom line on either Coach Net or GS Roadside Assistance - regardless of how the meeting of the minds is made - they are one of the most affordable "insurance" options RV owners can make behind a high quality water pressure regulator - and 1/3 the price of a PI Surge Portector. Some go with none of these - some all of them.

I also have read the OPs thread on the modifications they had done on the production run of their new Tiffen. Well reasoned - well thought out for their use - no AquaHot - and bigger tanks for boondocking and some other things as I recall. Obviously very committed and on top of their game. I wouldn't make those kinds of changes due to my use and potential resale impact - but they don't plan to sell so all good for them! The no contract no deal seemed incongruous to me. Appologies if anyone was offended.
Steve

If you don't want it, even if they are the carrier with the most thumbs up for their performance, then just buy elsewhere.

I don't understand the whining.

Ed,

There are those people who just want to whine about something and Coach-Net happen to be the guinea pig this time. Next time it will be something else.

I believe that as RV owners, each of us have the freedom and the right to make our own choices which affects the quality of our RV lifestyle and life.

We have to make thousands of choices ever day. Each one comes with a consequence.
