Cold Weather

We did not get out of the cold weather due to some medical issues this year. The weather here is in the 1 - 10 deg. weather range with chill factors at the -10 below. My concern is to get the MH out to head west but with the bitterly cold weather how will the coach handle it. As we all know there is a lot of flexing happening with the coach as we move, with the cold weather I wonder if things could start breaking during the movement. any thoughts on this?

For sure leaving in warmer weather is always nicer, but don't let that stop you. Those unit have a bit of flex and can handle a bit of cool weather. Just leave you plumbing antifreeze in your system until you reach warmer weather, same as your tanks, leave them empty. Went I winterize my MH I always add Plumbing antifreeze to the Gray and Black tanks after I have dump them, just to keep valve from freezing. One thing I would check after you arrive to destination is your roof caulking to make sure there no visible creak, if you see some just get yourself some roof self leavening sealant and fill the creak. If you have a Rubber roof I normally like to wash it first with a rubber roof cleaner.

I wouldn't worry about it, other than as was posted above. Our rig has heated bays which is great in cold weather.
