Wait everyone wants these playoffs then whine because there team is not able to win or qualify

No whining. Buckeyes deserved the spot they got. They lost (horribly I might add) to unranked Hawkeyes. I'm just sayin' I'd prefer to see 2 different conferences in such games.

Ya, at least the B1G had a stellar bowl record this year! And the conference will be very loaded next year. I think a big difference is there are alot of very good coaches now in the B1G compared to a few years ago. Seems like it all started with the hire of Urban.

But seriously, is anybody here going to the game? Does anybody even know anybody that is going? Of course the game will sell out, but I'm just curious.

I most likely won't watch. I do think that if 2 teams from the same conference make it, then they should have to play each other so as to not get what we are getting.
Personally, I think the 4 teams should be conference winners. Best 4 out of the P5 conferences. And stay at 4 teams.

I'm leaning toward 8 team playoff. P5 champions and 3 at large. Then you won't have undefeated teams like UCF self proclaiming National Champions. Although they did beat Auburn, who beat both of the teams in the Champinship game.

Here are a couple of more fun facts-

UCF leads all-time series against Bama 1-0

UCF leads all-time series against Georgia 2-0

Hummm, I wonder why neighboring UCF can rarely get a SEC team on their schedule

I mean instead of say . . . Mercer, who played both Auburn and Alabama this year. I am a huge college fb fan, and I had to literally google Mercer to find out what a Mercer is!

That would make all non-conference games meaningless.

That is a great point even though I am an Alabama fan. I am sure it’s about the money not the strength of the program

1. Mad respect to the Georgia Bulldogs a great team that will no doubt be barking next year too.
2. Tag. Surprising young man who played incredibly well. A true freshman straight off the bench. Interviewed with class and humility.

Props to Bama. How ever you feel about that team, they sure know how to provide an entertaining title game. That freshman Tide qb (TT, I'll call him) was the difference. How could a great coach like Saban not play him hardly at all all season?!?

Hats off to the Dawgs, too. Played well enough to beat anybody, just wasn't to be tonite. They game-planned and executed almost to perfection against the qb they were expected to play against, but they didn't game-plan against TT. And you are right debrey, TT seems like a great kid.

So OK, I'll admit it. I will be gracious and allow Bama to split the national title with UCF .

How many coaches have the guts to take out your first string offense at the half of the national championship game? It could have easily backfired. For those of you not familiar with Alabama this was not just a QB change, it was the entire 2nd team offense. Georgia had Hurts and the first string all figured out. The real story is the coaches decision and the ability of the second string team to come from behind and win the national championship. Not many other schools have this depth, if any. Bama has another 5 star qback recruit coming to next year, more to come.
