Glad to see others with the passion. I posted thinking that no one would respond.

I don't watch NFL games.

I agree. College football is MUCH better, than pro ball. More passion, better playing, especially if you follow the Gators.

We are avid Duke Football fans. We have season tickets and can't wait to see what Coach Dave Cutliff has in store for us this year.

Coach Cut has done a great job. I hear him on XM91 from time to time.

That 1996 game was huge for ASU. Pat Tillman played in that game. I told my family when we scored the first TD, we'd need a lot more than that to beat Nebraska. Pat Tillman and the boys made sure that that was all we'd need.

You don't happen to remember the Fiesta Bowl won by ASU over Nebraska? ASU went undefeated that year. Winning field goal kicked by Frank Kush's son. Didn't win National Championship cause NU lost to Oklahoma that year.

My roommate as National Park Service rangers was a Nebraska graduate. We've stayed close over the years talking smack about ASU and Nebraska.

Good luck this year!!

Of course, I forgot to mention that the 1995 ASU/Nebraska game was 77-35 in favor of Nebraska. You can't win 'me all!!

Remembering the 1986 Rose Bowl. Our favorite memory was the Michigan State University people who came to the game with the attitude, "our favorite team is anyone playing Michigan".

ASU won. It was ASU 22, Michigan Blue. Wolverine in the the trunk.

ANOTHER GATOR

Wife and I both retired four months ago from University of Florida.

I put in 12 years with the Gators athletic dept. then moved over to the college side 14 years, and yes they are different. The Gator sports are run by the athletic association, separate check separate retirement. So now I have two different retirements.
