And now NASCAR is promoting Ethenol Sunoco fuel in the Race cars. If NASCAR goes green, I'm done with them. Next they will buy up all the left over and bought back Chevy Volts and that will be the their new car of tomorrow.

Bout dang time, and I do have a dog in this race, my family back east are corn farmers, but this false economy of ethanol has gone on far too long, now, if we could just get the junk out fuel, we'd be in business.

Great news. Maybe this will bring the price of beef and other food down that was affected when the feds forced us to pay farmers to grow the corn.

Several of our relatives grow corn in IL, they shared the realities about false economies involved in this subsidy since day one. All their corn has always gone to feed lots.

All I can say is it's about time!!!! Good riddance, as others have said now it can go to the table where it belongs. (preferably through nice juicy cows)

BTW also stopped watching Nascar years ago when the cars got even more cookie cutter than they already were.

I'm cynical. I don't think that we've seen the last of this matter yet. While I'm always glad for any governmental retreat from meddling in the marketplace and would normally celebrate any small victory, I'm not ready to declare this one a victory yet. This has been going on for too long for it to end without even a whimper. There is another shoe and I'm just waiting for it to drop.

The science behind using ethanol as a widespread fuel source has always been shaky at best and an outright lie at worse. My personal opinion is that it was the test case for more fabricated stories that followed. Once the perpetrators figured out that the public would swallow (or at least not actively rebel against) the ethanol myth, the rest of the climate change story was developed. I don't for a minute believe that they are finished.

Hopefully, but don't count on it.

Maybe people are starting to wise up after hearing numerous reports on how it takes a Gal of Gas to produce a gal of Ethanol and that mileage is less on it.

No way are they wising up. Talk to any young person. They, for the most part, have all bought into this green nonsense.

Don't know if you want to go there, after all there are rules for the forum, but the kids are going to inherit the mess we made of things so I would give them a little slack. Your concern seems to be that you have enough oil to transport you to your grave. Theirs is that the oil your burning doesn't cook the planet they want to live on.
