I got estimates for cleaning up the trees blown down during hurricane from $1200 to $4000. This is for the ones around the house and back lot. I took the $1200 as he was a logger and could use the pines. I thought the $4000 was way too much and trying to take advantage. A few days ago after the trees were removed a guy showed up wanting to grind the stump up in the front yard for $100. I have paid $35 to $40, but it has been years. The next day another guy showed up and would do the same stump for $40. He did it and asked if I need any more. He then did three more on the back lot. The total cost for all the stumps was $100. It sometimes pays to wait !!
