Spend while its still worth something! The kids are already set so working on getting the Grandchildren(nine of them) to be self sufficient(as the govenment will not be able to support the entire country).

I too try to do our own maintenance...It sometimes feels like a 'contest' to see who wears out who... FIRST!

That said, RVing is worth every trial and tribulation to be able to drive this big picture window throughout this great nation of ours. In the little over two years we owned 'Squeaky' we've visited 42 states, 3 Canadian Provinces, 36 National Parks and other national treasures that we were aware of but had no idea of their scope. In that context, cost pales in comparison. As someone once said "I do not regret the things I've done, but those I did not do".

Safe travels...Bob

RIP 'Squeaky'

We made a little road trip last month and left the coach home. It was messy roads and did not want to get the coach all full of salt. We stayed in motels and ate in restaurants, yuk! Fuel and maintenance are costly but well worth having your own bed and cooking your own meals. With the cost of motels and restaurants it really wouldn't have cost us much more for the coach. With all the talk of bedbugs and such we considered ourselves lucky to come home clean. Next time will be in coach!

A good day on the road means a better night at the park!
