I'll Never Go to Baja Again

They were looking forward to surfing the uncrowded south swell. A pending protest at the border on Friday was sure to slow down the normal throngs of south bound surfers.

Eh, don't need to be going down there anyway, parts south tend to be one big s-hole. Plenty of beaches right here in the states to be at.

We've been going to Mexico for 20 years. We usually spend at least a month there every year. Driven thousands of miles in Mexico. Never had a problem, never paid a fine for anything.

If you don't want to go to Mexico there nothing wrong with that, RV spaces are hard to get sometimes.

If you read anything about traveling in Mexico the first rule is, never drive at night. These guys forgot to read rule number one! There are many reasons for that including cattle on the roads at night in Baja and brown skin people on the roads that are impossible to see. It's just not smart. Just as it's not smart to leave your doors unlocked or let strangers into your house in the US.

If they have paid fines before I'm guessing they've been very unlucky and they do things in Mexico they would never do at home. Personally, I feel just as safe in Mexico as I do the US.
