This is a 'big' year for me in the health care world. I'm changing insurance providers and so far have filled out at least a half dozen different forms plus have had three phone conversations. I just got their info packet and it's by actual measure, 1-3/32nds inch thick. I'm also changing ophthalmologists as my current one doesn't do a procedure that I'll need this spring. That new guy has sent me a 10 page questionnaire to have ready when I get there - and it doesn't even include the HIPPA and health care proxy forms that are necessary under the current laws. Oh and changing providers - that means my dentist as well as my regular doctor will have a bale of forms for me as well to fill out.
Privacy? Nah. Not when all of your vitals are on a server for any and all, hopefully in medical practices, for their reading (thieving?) enjoyment
Where are those days when a doctor's visit was less then ten bucks even if he made a house call and a visit to the ER for a sew up for an 'indiscretion' was $20 or so. Yep, I AM
that old as are many others here
