Lucky you.... For those of us who dream of such a trip where is your start and end?
If any of those are in the South east Please share some of your favorites or what you expect to be your favorite CG in the south if you are even headed that way and care to indulge us.

Why. If you should miss one , you'll be subject to cxl penalties in all the rest. We call one or two days prior to arriving and ask if they have availability. Never had a problem. Holiday weekends are the exception. We reserve In advance. Hope it all works and you have a great time.

Hi Rsanchez24,
Don't let Clifftall toss a wet noodle on the organization of your summer adventure. This is how I traveled, when we had the Gkids traveling with us. My reservations were made for the entire 8-9 week trip. In six years (soon to be seven) we never missed a stop. To all you nay sayers out there, when I have Gkids with me, this is the way I travel. Simple as that. There is plenty of time for all activities and some days thrown in for the unexpected. It works and the intermediary level of management (parents) are happy. So am I.

I hope you have a great trip!! We are fairly newbies, too...so we always make reservations....though never 19 at once!!

We leave charleston sc, go to Charlotte nc, then travel west hitting all the key parks , grand canyon, lake mead, cliff dwellings, death valley, sequoia, Yosemite , great basin, Mesa verde, route 66, a volcano( I can't remember thee name) grass lands, Memphis, pine mountain ga, and other places that we want to see. We are just doing the southern states this trip. We are planners, I plan the route and mileage, and my partner puts it in excel format, that includes the cost of gas, meals, cg's and so on. Then we see if it turns out to match. But don't get me wrong we expect the unexpected to happen, then we laugh and carry on. Below is our map.

Hi Rsanchez24,
Is the volcano you are going to see in Southern California and called Amboy Crater?

I've done this trip several times. Have good walking shoes, water and a hat (hat is mandatory). We've always had a great time and I know you will too.

Sounds like great fun - we have always called on the road the same day or at best the day before and it has been fine but we also realize that is taking a big chance. Have fun - stay safe

DW made our August reservations in January. Until we retire that how we roll, no surprises and we make the most of 4 weeks.
