Last night I happened to tune past a "Dirty Jobs" segment. The camera showed something thaat looked familiar so I continued watching. The fellow that does the show was talking about the operations of a small cheese factory.
I called the BW and asked her to watch also. All of the shots showed equipment and views I would have sworn I had seen before but he hadn't mentioned where he was or the name of the cheese company.
As the show progressed it became apparent it was the Crowley Factory in central Vermont. Later he showed the name and outside shots of the place.
We visited there in 2004 after being told of it by the wife's cousin.
What a kick to see something highlighted on TV that we had already experienced. OH, they make great Colby cheese.

It is kinda' neat to see something featured on TV or in an article, that you have personally experienced or have first hand knowledge of.

One of our greatest thrills as travelers is to see something we recognize or someplace we've been featured on TV or in a movie. The more we travel, the more that happens.

And have you ever noticed when the media profiles a place you have been it is different than your understanding?
Sometimes I wonder if we had been to the same place. The wonders of journalism??

I was quite amazed that I was able to note, almost immediately, that the quick view I had, through a window in a small hallway, was the place we had seen nearly 4 years earlier.
We went to Alaska this summer and saw some things we had seen in posters and travel guides but, let's face it, there are fewer places to go in Alaska than New England.
