Set your clocks BACK one hour at bed time tonight. Actually DST ends at 2 am tomorrow, but I'll be asleep.

Not in most of AZ. We have enough sense to not buy into the fall forward, spring back nonsense. Or is it spring forward, fall back? Oh well, it doesn't matter because I don't have to deal with it!

My bedside alarm clock changes automatically. But it is so old that it still changes at the old times. My clock changed last week

It doesn't save any, just rearranges it.

We've saved so much daylight here on the east coast, we don't know what to do with it all.

I'll email you some.

Please remember to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors when you turn your clocks back. Ron

Sure wish the gov't would knock off this crap and leave us on DST all the time. The amount of work that companies that deal with overseas countries have to do above and beyond their normal work can't possibly be justified.

The airline schedules, particularly, are a real mess. The US change-over date is different than most of Europe by a week. For that week, all the arrival times are different, connections are screwed up to support an archaic concept that should have gone the way of buggy whips and anti-macassars.

How many people under 75 know what macassar was and why you needed something to fight it?

I've got a watch that does the same thing. It's been on EST for the past week.

Lori-

P.S. Right now I'm waiting up for the digital clock on the DVR to go from 1:59AM to 1:00AM. 49 minutes left to wait.

A native chief explained daylight savings time thusly; "The government tells us to cut a foot off the bottom of our buffalo robe and then sew that foot to the top of the robe." They then expect us to believe the robe is now a foot longer.

Doncha love good explanations.

I wish IN had not changed back to DST but, we voters didn't get to choose. Sure we got to vote (by county) which we wanted, but afterwards the state government nullified that, and for the second time adopted DST.
Now there is a movement growing to put IN in the central time zone. (Some IN counties are on Central time already) Talk about confusing.
DST causes parents to put their children out in the dark to board the school bus. I could go on and on, but I'm sure everyone already knows the arguments.

frankdamp, macassar is a city according to Wikipedia. Ididn't know so I looked.

You'll are probably not going to believe this, but DST in AZ is controlled by the liquor industry lobbyists and to a lesser extend the Drive-in movie business. I think there are only two drive-ins left around Phx, but how would you like to take your kids to a drive-in double feature that didn't start till 9 PM?

Most people don't go out drinking until after dark and until a couple years ago, last call was 1 AM. DST cut into bar profits with a shorter drinking time.
