I learnt me lesson the hard way...
On our last trip we left our house at sea level and our first night was at over 5,000 feet. DW served up a nice dinner and I grabbed the bottle of Sriracha HOT chili sauce and popped the top only to get squirted in the eye because of the pressure difference. OOOWWW!
Who else has copped an eyeful of sauce, shampoo or some other painful liquid because of traveling from low to high altitudes? Now I open EVERYTHING very carefully--and why do these things always get you in the eye?

On further reflection, maybe it explains why I always seem to get fatter as well.

I hauled a porta potti from 5000' up to our cabin at 8000'. I put it in place and then looked down to make sure it was empty as I slid the poop shoot open. It wasn't completely empty.
As it turns out, I'm lucky the thing didn't explode on the way up the mountain.

Well i got wet.... and it wasent nice..
the trailer toilet, we are 1500 feet here and we went 7000, i went in to go, then flushed while looking down, hehe its funny now and im glad it was mine, needless to say i showered right away...

I know you all saw the post about lotion, liquid soap and the stuff that wont spoil just a pin hole high in the neck of the bottle helps the pressure. I once had chips fly everywhere when I opend the bag. A big bang and they went flying.

Climbing the Beartooths one summer we had a potato chip bag explode while driving. The summit was 11,000' but the bag blew around 10K. The bag got pretty huge just beforehand. Maybe that's why the put the disclaimer on the bag about being packed by weight, not volume.
