Death Valley??????

I was just looking at the picture on the top of this screen where the Logo for IRV2 is posted. Tell me I am wrong but aint that Death Valley? IT REALLY looks familiar but I cant quite place it.......... I believe it is Furnace Creek....
Somebody help me pls..............

Yes, it's Quartzite. If memory serves, it's the shot that won the last photo contest. The next one will be the balloons.

For PNWGIRL ....... positive answer without drooling or beating about the vegetation TEN CENTS.......
I, Seajay the sailor man, according to promises made in afore mentioned question concerning said photo above will pay on demand, after proper identification of same person, the sum totals mentioned above to the afore mentioned people, in cash, coin of the realm, with receipt requested for tax purposes. All indebted sums shall be considered PAID IN FULL after completion of said agreement.
