Dental Work in Mexico

Gonna be going to southern AZ in the next month for winter. Tuscon & Yuma. I have picked up on other RV'rs here mentioning getting dental work done in Mexico. Could we talk about options there. What are the savings and quality. And what type of work do they do and feel comfy with. You can tell I am nervous on this but if there is a substantial savings quality and no pain. I am for it.
Thanks Rick

There are no regulation of dental materials in mexico. I had a case in my office in which the paitent had work done in mexico on a "dental vacation " she had a sever reaction to the restorative materials used. In the end she lost several of her teeth costing not only pain and infection but more money than the case would have origianaly

Myself and family has been using Mexican Dentist since the mid 60s. My 50+ yr old daughter had her braces done in Tijuana in the early 70s. I have had all my military dental work replaced, both by US and Mexican, they both did quality work. We now use a Progreso dentist. He is US trained and worked in CA. Been going to him for 7 yrs, only for cleanings for the last 5. Many of our Winter Texan friends use them. There have been stories of bad work and the consequences from US and Mexico, sh*t happens.

Ask the Snowbirds in AZ, who they use, check the office of the recommended offices and make your own decisions.
Choose wisely and save some money!

Benn to Los Algodones Four Times

I've had LOTS of work done at Dental Bernal. Implants, crowns, sinus boost, root canal. extractions.

If you'd like to read the journal I wrote after my first trip in 2006, please send an email to SuzanneFromSeattle@yahoo.com. It's 30 pages and quite complete.

On the other hand you may get dental prosthetics made in Mexico, china or were ever at your local dentist it's your right to ask and its the law to disclose where it was made and material.

The citing of one bad case doesn't rep the total pie here. There are success stories about dental across the border. Continue the search. Abide by rules crossing border and returning.
