OK, I've figured out a lot of the abbreviations used on these forums, but can't decipher DH and DW. H and W appear to be husband and wife. But is the D for desperate? designated? dependable? dummy? Dopey, Doc, or Sleazy?

Yesterday I packed for three weeks in Ft Wilderness at WDW, so I don't have any big problems today.

Try searching the web. For example....

Sort of like CB talk. Art

Here's another one...

Retired and Happy,

i am going to show my bottom card with this reply .... but for the life of me ... I don't know either, and I have actually wondered that same thing for years !!!
and i believe i'm even a moderator here, and i have always assumed it meant "designated" but was a little reluctant to ask.
Boy do i feel like a big dope!!!.

On the other hand, since you talk of "no problems" ..... this weekend is my 50th birthday, my mom and dad (DM and DD ???? ) flew into SanDiego to take me to dinner and we are all staying at the Coronado Hotel for the weekend.
I am not retired, but I am happy.

Good luck buddy on your search for those abbreviation meanings, i will also look forward to finally learning them

Mike

For military the "D" stands for "Dependent" i.e. DW = Dependent Wife.

Ken, I also always thought it was Dear. But now that you mention it, it could be all of the above
