Did you name your RV?
We are feeling we should give our new home on wheels and official name. Is this common? Have you named your RV home?

Many folks have 'names' for their cars, trucks, RVs etc.
I understand it........have seen some really clever names.
Never got into naming any of my vehicles.
It was always just 'Gonna take the truck, or you take the car etc'
Besides NONE of them will come when called

Welcome to the IRV2 Forums.
A site search of "name of your RV", will bring up at least 10 postings in the past where folks have named their rigs.
The search bar is at the top of the web page.

No I haven't. The manufacturer already named them for me; Ford, Chev, Buick, Dodge, etc., etc. so I see no reason to call them anything different.

I've always thought giving vehicles a human name was silly. My brother in law and his wife named their Jeep Wranger "Joey" and their Nissan Altima "Maggie". I don't remember what they named their motorhome. My brother in law never named his vehicles with his first wife, so I'll leave it at that. My vehicles already have names... Equinox, Chevelle ('67) and Navion.

The "Truck".
Awhile ago we were camping at a race track with a friend.
My wife and his wife were sitting in their new to them 40' DP.
My wife said "Nice motorhome".
She was corrected and his wife said "Motor coach".
So not to need to feel self important, I just call it the "Truck".

"Betsy" My Mom had an old '47 Buick and when it wouldn't start she would pat the dash and say, "come on Betsy" and she would start right up.

Technically, no. At least not the last two. I do at times call this one Elvira just to get under the DW's skin. When things go wrong, the name can vary and take on a bit more color.
