Diesel Repair

Minneapolis and St. Paul area.

I could not find a general section regarding diesel repair and many of us have varying diesel engines and sometimes we need minor in-field repair.
The following is for the Minneapolis and St Paul area.

I needed some work done. Found a mobile repair called MRS (Mobile Repair Service LLC owned by John Louck. I called him yesterday evening around 4 p.m.. He could not come to the campground but said he would be here at 9:00 a.m. this morning.

Get this, i was walking the dog and he called me on the phone and was in the CG. It was about 5 minutes before 9:00 a.m. Talk about punctual. He had an hours worth of work and performed the job very well. He has 50 years experience with diesel engines.

So if you are in the area and need some diesel repair, and maybe even other small chassis repair, give John a call:

Wayne, what did you break this time?

You and Earlene need to get back down here and bring some cool with you. Tre got the okay from her Dr to travel just before Labor Day. Went down to Matagorda LCRA Park for a few days and now are ready to head out again.

I had a problem with my air pressure relief valve staying open. Air pressure dropped to 70 pounds and held. Pulled over, called Freightliner - identified the situation and after 40 minutes on hold before they answered, restarted the engine and it went back up to 125 psi. Happened again the next day holding at 100 psi but you could hear the whoosh of air out of the relief valve on the dryer. Local Freightliner Service Rep here in Apple Valley, MN said that it was more than likely the desiccant filter and that would be the first thing they would change if I took it in to them. Had it fixed here on-site and at a much lesser labor cost.

Happy to hear Tre's better fortune. Yep! Temperature here today reached a high of about 70 degrees, if that. Around 1 p.m. we were out and about and it was 66 degrees. You need to move north for the summer months.
