We have dish, have used it all over the country with no problem. Use a house reciever and a Vue cube automatic antenna with no problem.

Direct and Carryout

I just got around to checking out some of the suggestions from all of you good folks. As ajlcal stated the receiver has to be changed to multi-switch and 18'' round to recognize the carryout and the in-motion. I kind of thought that might be the case because when I would go through the set up I noticed the "dish type" displayed was different in the mh than in the house. When I tried to highlight the correct dish, it would not let me do so. I finally figured out that I had to change to multi switch first before it would let me change the dish size. The part that has me confused, just to name a few, is that I never had to change anything before. I just moved it from my house to mh and it worked. I probably did this eight or ten times before this came up.Thanks to all who helped!

We have been both DirecTV and Dish Network customers in the past. We are currently Dish Network customers.

The only "RV option" with either service is DNS (Distant Network Service) which you can get with either service. The advantage goes to Dish Network service, especially if you are not a fulltime RVer, because their DNS is on a pay-as-you-go basis.

We use Dish both at home and in MH. Just carry the receiver that is made for Dish Auto receiver to MH and we're good to go. When at home we use receiver in a bedroom with stationery home dish.
