Discount and Disney World don't usually appear in the same sentence. However, if you are a member of AAA, you can prepurchase tickets from them.

Know anybody that lives in Florida? They give pretty good discounts for Florida residents, or at least they used to.

We've spent enough time there that I know what you say is true. really don't have close friends there. Wonder if you have to show local ID if you tried to use those tickets?

When you pick up the tickets, you will have to show proof of Florida residency to get the very big discounts (annual pass roughly the same price as regular 4-5 day entrance). The ONLY way that I could see to beat the system is to have the Florida resident buy the 'Florida Resident' tickets and then have them give the tickets to you BEFORE using them. The first time through the entrance gate will then tie your fingerprints to the ticket. The only time you have to show the Florida resident proof after initial purchase is if one had to replace the ticket (damaged, lost, etc) or renew.

Would I suggest you do this, H*LL NO. Anyone caught trying to cheat the 'mouse' will be banned for life from ever going into the park.

Nope. Not one for trying to cheat. Just trying to see if there were any legit discounted tickets out there.

Be very careful of discount Disney tickets. Other than a few bucks off through AAA and a few other organizations there are few discounts. Almost every week we read here in Central Fl about tourists showing up at Disney with "discounted" tickets only to be turned away at the gate. Sometimes the cons get arrested and are back in business the next day. Try MouseBuzz – Disney Buzz for all things Disney. Enjoy your trip and bring lots of money to leave behind. We can use it.

As another poster already said, Disney and Discount are typically mutually exclusive terms. When you go to Disney you can't worry about the money. It's expensive. You just have to decide it's what you want to do and not worry about the money.

The last time I went to Disney a co-worker explained to me this way...

"When you walk through the gate, Mickey Mouse is going to grab you by the ankles, turn you upside down, and shake all the money out of your pockets! If you're OK with this... you're gonna have a wonderful time!"

Your Florida greeting is as follows:

#1 Bring lots of money
#2 Spend money quickly
#3 Go home
