I can only tell you what I did.. (Sadly my "Divorce" was of the instant variety, Wife drove Jeep we had just bought into a tree at 50 mph and.. Well we lasted "Till death did we part") What I'm doing is carrying on.. Best I can, and about 1.5 years later (Easter Sunday 2013 it happened), well I recently did a self-evaluation... I am still depressed. Well controlled, but depressed non the less. Hope you fare better.

Yes, we all have experiences and opinions, my former life ended at age 41, then a year later met my soul mate, that was 32 yrs ago, life has been great since, no debt and well funded retirement for the future Former life was not so great, the woman can make the difference between heaven & hell. My goal is to live 30 seconds longer than the DW.

Divorce

Crap happens. You ain't dead yet. Move on and have some fun.

I know a guy. He was a miserable grumpy jerk for all the years I knew him. Got a divorce last year, and now he is one of the happiest fellas I know. True story. I kinda know how he feels.

Divorce isn't for everyone, but sometimes .....

One door slams shut....another flies open. Enjoy the total freedom where YOU will now make ALL the decisions. Deciding whether to get up and do something, or just lay around all day in your underwear and drink beer. Hell, we've all probably thought about it....YOU get to live it!!!

When I got divorced in 1976 I was determined to learn to live alone and be happy. I did, but it did take time. For 17 years I lived the single life, raised my boys, and got very comfortable being a single man.

As far as companions, there were many. I interviewed lots of prospective mates over the years, but never found one that I really wanted to share my life with until...................!

When I first saw her I knew I was a goner and I was almost sad. That's almost. We are going on twenty years together now and it is just fine. Just fine.

Take what life has to offer and have fun. There are lots and lots of single folks out there that would just like to go out and have a little fun. Find one that loves to RV like I did.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I was married 32 years, when I got divorced 4 years ago, but fell in love w/a gal who actually likes me. She retires Dec 31st, and we hit the road. Follow your dreams, and have no regrets.

Oh yeah I agree, but they're bad for the children in most cases.

I agree Sagamore. These people have each suffered and are still here trying to help someone they do not know. Nice group and hopefully they all heal and move on to something much better and more satisfying.

I used my RV in the North GA mountains when going through a divorce. I just about ran the wheels off my wife's car going back and forth to Atlanta to my job.

We reconciled, and things have worked out fine.

Ever since, my wife's life goal has been a new RV--fifth wheel trailer--and she got it this Summer.

You've received good advice above. Hang in there, and life will work out well for you too.

Thanks for the kind words.

I used to drive over the road in a 18 wheeler (cat power) back in the 80ies and always found somewhere out west I always wanted to stop at but couldn't stop with a 18 wheeler. I just thought that I would do it with someone with me. As of now looks like I will be doing it alone. I enjoyed it back then and I think I will do it again.
Thanks for all the kind words,
Love this site,
Tim
