When the DW and I are on the road, I just feel better. I get up early in the morning and walk the dog, get my coffee, have breakfast, do all the "S" stuff and get the motor home ready to go if we are traveling that day. If we are somewhere where we are going to sight see we get the toad packed, and take off for the day. When I'm at home I just feed the dog and let him out in the back yard. Then I just sit in front of the computer or TV set.
For some reason I just can't seem to get motivated. Am I the only one that does this?

I and the wife love it when we are out on the road.

I retired early (55) so we could travel but things have not worked out for us yet taking care of elderly parents.

For the time being we enjoy reading the post.

We travel 4 to 5 months a year and yes sir I feel different when I am on the road. In my case I am 75 and still carry a half time teaching load when we are home. We have both been subjected to the older parent syndrom that realy cooked our plans as well. Lucy says that I am a different person on the road and she is also a different person. However I think that we have the best of both worlds, each change does us both good.

We have not gone full time yet, but we go out camping for 3 or 4 days at a time a month and just love how relaxed we feel when we come back.

There's no doubt about it. Even if the DW and I go to our TT home park (about 50 mi.) and stay a week or two, its just different. Wine tasting at the local vinyards, walking, meeting friends that we made on the road, it makes a difference in the way we feel physically and mentally.

We are on our first long trip and will be on the road for 2 months this trip. Already, I am not looking forward to going home. I enjoy the MH so much and look forward to many more trips this long or longer.

We were always planning our next trip before we even started back home for the trip we were on. That's the reason we're "out here" full-time now.

Yes it is the greatest feeling in the world when we are on the road.
1. we meet a lot of great people from all types of backgrounds.
2. hearing stories of great places to go.
3. comparing our RV's and finding out we all have problems, some bigger than others.
Yes you can feel the stress build up as you realize you are almost home and have to face all the things that have been left undone for the past weekend-week-month or whatever time you were away.
Remember it will only be a short time and it's time to "HIT THE ROAD AGAIN."
The great stress reducer RVing
