I have never had good luck borrowing or loaning, when I was young, I would borrow a tool, break it, buy a new tool to replace the one I broke, and end up owning a broken tool for the price of a new one, eventually , when I needed a tool, I would just buy the new one for myself.

You did the right thing. That was generous for someone who needed a good break. I would consider loaning mine but would want to drive it and set it up, then pick it up when they were done. Strangers need not apply...
I am guessing you have insurance and that's what that's for!

What a generous kind thing to do. I hope they have a safe fun trip and your Baby comes back in the same shape she left.
BUT...there is no way we'd ever lend ours to anyone for any reason. If by some chance we let someone stay in it (highly unlikely unless here in our drive), we'd drive it, set it up & bring it home.

We too are generous, but there are just too many things to learn and do just right when it's YOUR's and you care about it... much less if it's not yours...
There's a reason rentals are so high, so many things to fix once returned...
good luck and I would give them a call just to see how they are doing and if you could help with anything...

I try to be kind, generous, and compassionate to someone that has a rough spot or two in life.
Borrowing an RV and going on a trip is not for someone that has determined is too expensive to rent one.
This trip is not a "Necessary" for life. Can't afford it? Don't go until you can.
Sounds harsh, I know, but that is the bare truth.

nope... and I drive an old vintage Lady! When the adult kids want to come along... I say sure... bring a tent and a cooler and we'll have a grand time! One of the many reasons I drive an older unit that has sleeping only for 2/3 but we don't tell folks the 3rd bed option and it's not readily observable, and is work to set up so only use it to nap during long trips when I don't want to turn our dinette into a bed for only an hour or 2...
Maybe I'll keep it as an adult kid with grandbaby loaner when/if we upgrade....
