Do you recognize me?

This was on my facebook a couple days ago. I thought I would share here.
Please help reunite kitty with owners. Lost at an RV park in WA, finally caught by a rescue but they don't know how to contact the owners. Please look and see if the story rings a bell with you...
PLEASE HELP ME SHARE...this is my personal project...thank you, Lisa

Do you recognize me?

I was found 2/2013 at the Travel Inn RV Park in Elma, WA. I belong to a couple who was camping in their RV at the park 2-3 years ago, and escaped while we were staying there. My family spent an entire year trying to find and catch me-with no luck. I was caught as part of a spay/neuter program and recognized by someone at the RV park as the missing cat. I am currently staying with a cat rescue where I am receiving excellent care. I am a very sweet girl, although I am shy and scared. I am not micro-chipped and the rescue workers desperately want to get me back to my family.

Please help us find the couple this cat belongs to. We know they are RV owners and loved this cat dearly. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Contact Community Cat Outreach at (360) 292-9401 or inbox me with information. THANK YOU!!!

Pets get separated from their owners for various reasons. If you travel or not with a dog or cat, express your love for them by getting them Microchipped. It is inexpensive.
Then put an ID tag on their collar with your Name (not the animals), Cell number, family phone number and E-mail address.
If you want to give your cat up for adoption, put the animals name on the tag so it can respond to its' name from a stranger.

If this kitty had a collar and ID tag it would be home now. If it was chipped, the owner would of been notified by phone and by US Mail if the phone number is not current that the cat was found. Animal Control scans all pets for microchip, dead or alive.
GPS collars are also available with monthly monitoring fees.
Cats can and should be leash trained or kept inside the RV 100% of the time.

Thanks. All my pets are chipped. However there is also news out that the chips are cuaseing cancers. So it's still a personal choice to chip a cat. I had a cat die of fibrasarcoma (injection site cancer 100% death rate and it's not rare, it's just rare anyone can afford treatment.) Critter Advocacy it's not fun. I may go with tattoos next time I have to choose. Collars last about 2 minutes on my cats, so I have hundreds of them, none work.

In any case, this cat is now safe and found so if you possible know the owners please let them know, or if in the area please put the word out. Then maybe help them put some ID on the kitty.

Two cats - both chipped and have collars (break-a-way) with phone numbers.

It's really sad how many cats are left behind in CGs. :( Shell Mound near Chattanooga TN had several cats and dogs left behind by campers. We've seen lost cats at Lebanon SP, Poole Knobs and Seven Points near Nashville TN. We were able to catch one and call a Cat Rescue woman to come get her. Another cat, a young black female, was rescued by the Camp Host's Supervisor. Most of the cats become fearful because people throw rocks and sticks at them. And all the poor kitties want is some food, as they're often starving. So those of us who love cats can't get them near enough to pick up and confine until help can be called.

All four of our cats are chipped. We never let them outside the RV, or even here at home. We have a cat-enclosure on the deck where they can safely go outside when at home. Our cats get vaccinated as kittens and that's it. They don't get "boosters" every year. Al that does is boost their cancer rate and the Vet's bank account.

Maybe you should put this found cat's plight on the Pet Forum here also.

That would be the correct forum for this and that's where the OP put it, it was felt there would be more coverage here so it was moved with a moved icon left there.

Thank you for the suggestion.
