That is not being ridden, it is being hauled. I have rode to Sturgis many times, I have never seen more bikes being hauled in my life, well, other than when we rode to Daytona bike week.

Have no interest in going to bike week but have been as far north as Meat Cove, Nova Scotia and south to Key West, Florida all on my '06 CVO Ultra until 5 years ago when returning from Key West in a small town in Tennessee we were t-boned by a 16 year old girl who ran a stop sign. That put an end to our vacation bike trips. Now we travel with the RV and haul the bike and do small rides in areas were we are camped. Never been out west yet but that is coming soon.

Some people are just to righteous. We're the same way, we put 20,000 miles on one of our bikes in a single northeast riding season a few years back until a 27 degree return trip from Ohio affected my wife's back. We still ride a lot but trailer the bike with us on RV trips. Our first road trip after buying a Fun Mover class C was to Wyoming. We enjoyed 4 days of riding on a 9 day trip. Try riding 1000 miles a day for 5 days and then pack in 4 300 mile day trips in between. Unless you're an Iron Butt extremist, you're not doing it.

I don't torture myself any more either. Rode across Nebraska twice in 90+ degrees and never again.
