I always have my two flags on my truck anyway but wanted to add one to the RV...

The flags on the truck were easy. Cut a plastic hanger to fit the length you want, mount the flag, put a pull tie on the end of it and secture the pull tie with a drop of super glue, then if you want you can put another pull tie on the inside of that one and face it the other way so that the flag for sure wont slide off, then just mount where you want it.

Now the RV is a different story all together, sometimes i wonder how these things are held together with such little framework. As you can see it took me several times to find a place for the mount.

Look right under the current mount and you can see three patched holes. Yes stupid me i was so confident there was frame there i drilled all three holes before checking for sure... not good....

Then i tried the front of the RV i knocked on the outside and it was solid as a rock so for sure there had to be some frame there. This time i drilled one hole no frame (the other two are just black dots from a marker), it actually went into my closet in the bedroom... So i patched that hole...

Then i went back to the back of the RV and saw the metal strip that goes around the roof, there ya go... put some gorilla glue on the back of it just in case and siliconed it good for water intrusion and i hope it withstands the winds and does not rip my trailer apart. Looks good...

I fly a flag every day at home and have to get one for the TT. Just have to check closely and make sure the American flag is actually made in America these days though.

I'm not camping much anymore, but the flag in my front yard is flying 24 / 7 / 365 and is properly lit. I have to replace it average of twice a year, sometimes three times.

Right now the front door light at night will put light up on the flag, but i plan to get a little solor spotlight for it. So that the light will charge during the day and shine on the flag at night.

However first i have to get the mount corrected... My current setup might not work, i just checked it out and with the flag on the mount its pretty flexable on that corner i can move the mount back and forth more than i like to see it moving. So i need to find a way to reinforce it somehow or move it again someplace else...
