I'm thinking the book he writes will be "My life in a deep dark hole with no hope of escape"

Agreed. Looks like the prosecutors are going to bungle it.

Oh, I don't know.. I'm reminded of a Law & Order SVU episode, Stabler is in court testifying .. He makes a few comments about the defendent who is accused of exposing himself in court,, Somthing about "Shortcomings" as I recall.. The defendent is so insensed he whips it out to show the jury just how short it is....

Took them longer to elect a forman than to find him guilty (Assuming the judge just did not declare a summary judgement on the spot that is, The show did not actually show that part).

I think he will impress the jury enough to insure either said deep hole or a nice strong padded room.

Only thing that bothers me about that padded room option.... They don't much use electroshock therapy any more

While I personally believe this guy is guilty as hell, I don't honestly know how they can convict him with no real physical evidence.
Hearsay...... the NEW physical evidence.
While I'd like to see him found guilty, it scares me a bit if they can convict him based on hearsay evidence.

Hearsay.

1: He was arrested at the scene, "Red Handed" as it were
2: He confessed

I mean, What is hearsay about it.

3: Eye Witness

Unless he seriously changes his act before trial they won't have to convict him, He will convict himself.

I think you may have the Colorado theater shooter confused with Drew Peterson, the Bolingbrook, IL former cop who is suspected of murdering two wives. He has confessed to nothing.

... and I had him confused with the other wife-killer, Scott Peterson.

This guy wins though -- one dead, another missing ...

The State has no real evidence against this individual. At least none that I know of anyway. While I agree that on the surface he appears guilty, I cannot say he is or is not. If he is guilty and the State screws it up more than they already have, he will walk. In what I have seen of this guy on the news, he presents himself as a smug, arrogant individual and if a jury sees the same, it bodes not well for him. Maybe the State has a rabit in their hat to pull out and save the case. Juries are strange creatures and hard to read sometimes. But until the court says he is guilty, he is innocent. Our legal system is far from being perfect but for the most part it is the best around. I dealt with the courts for over 34 years as a law enforcement officer and most of the time "a jury of your peers" was hardly ever the way it was.

this is actually drew peterson's third vanished wife.

here in illinois, they really care not about evidence. he will walk away a free man, and then he will sue illinois for zillions, and then illinois will settle for millions.
and then he will co-write a new york times best seller.

if you're not from illinois, you wouldn't understand how this works.
