Eating off the kids menu, sorry, I just don't want a box to take home.

Has anyone else been doing this?

If you order off the kids menu, the meal is right sized, no box to take home.

It does save you money, but to me it is not about price, It is more about that I don't want to take anything home.

I treat the kids menu like "tapas" restaurants, chicken fingers and grill cheese sandwich. Is a meal, and out. But I would do an enontray at half size.

I don't order from the kids menu but I do try to order from the senior menu do get the smaller portions. Most restaurants give you way too much food. I have been known to order a not-so-balanced meal entirely from the hour de vours menu.

Sometimes order the 'junior' milkshake at a particular regional restaurant chain. Only once has the server told me that, as an adult, I'm not allowed to order off the kids' menu (heh, 'adult', don't know me too well, do they?)
Fortunately, lots of places any more have the "old far...er, senior" menu with smaller portions.

When you order from the kids menu, don't forget to ask for the senior citizens discount.

I’ll tend to go the other way and order something that will be good the next day, or ask the server to hold back on the parts that I don’t want. Just because it comes with “N” number of sides doesn’t mean you have to get them. I’ve found that the kids menu consists of things I don’t care to or can’t eat.

My mother in law always orders off the kids menu. Never has had anyone object.

DW and I often split an entrée and maybe order one extra side. IMO, there is a lot of food that is great when it is first served but not so good warmed over. Steak is my exception....any leftover steak becomes my steak and eggs breakfast the next day

The wife and I split a lot. She doesn’t eat that much and i eat too much so it balances us out. My Mom used to order off of the kids menu all the time but who can say no to a Q-tip.
I never did understand somebody telling someone that they can’t order off of the kids menu. They still get their money for a meal. It’s not they only have so many kid’s meals, y’know?
