Ebola virus here in U. S.

Anyone else wonder about the sanity of the managers of CDC who bring in patients from other countries who are already infected with the ebola virus then say it's "highly unlikely the virus will spread to other persons"? It's highly unlikely a tornado will hit us here in north central Oklahoma, but it's very possible.
Now they are having some kind of conference in Washington D.C. bringing in all the African leaders. This couldn't be put off till the emergency in Africa ends? And all the air ports are doing for incoming travelers is checking for high body tempertures, which probably doesn't do near enough considering the doctor who put himselve in isolation at his home considers at least 2 weeks before he knows whether or not his condition is safe. Wonder how many people he exposed getting to his home in Tennessee from Africa?
Not sure whether to be frightened, frustrated, aggravated, or none of the above and just say whatever wil be will be.

The odds of getting hit by a tornado are greater than the odds of the virus being spread.. Way higher. It is one patient from what I read, and he is a US citizen and thus entitled to the best health care in the world.. He is in isolation, Serious isolation, Way more serious than I was in when I was in isolation (Burn unit) and I very strongly suspect the virus has been (In isolation tanks) in the US for a long time.. But that I can not prove. (Would make sense only if they were working on a treatment, which I suspect.. they are, but again can not prove).

What was concerning is that the travel advisory only went out yesterday or the day before. This virus has a max incubation period of 21 days if I read correctly. The whole process leading up to the travel advisory seemed sloppy......This patient isn't the concern...He's the example of how well the isolation process works. The precedence has been made to allow patients infected with Ebola into the country. How many absolute guarantees have been broken in the past? Couple years down the road, someone screws up in the hospital and unknowingly gets infected and suddenly its out there. Its human nature over time that rules become relaxed or ignored and that's how nasty virus's get out there.

Honestly? I think it smacks of arrogance and ignorance. Where humans are involved there will be mistakes. Now there is a possibility that these mistakes can harm our populations where the disease has never been before.

I think this is a HUGE mistake.

It's scary to say the least. I keep thinking of all those movies lately where there is a virus, and all the news channels are interviewing the CDC and or experts in the field, and they all say that they have a cure, or it's all under control and isolated to a secure location.

Then the next thing you see on the last news broadcast station still operating is a global map showing how many billions of people have died.

Wasn't AIDS the same thing? Came from there, then it spread throughout the world. Just saying!

I've watched this with some interest, and as many times as I have , I've never heard any of the experts that were being interviewed say exactly what the symptoms are. It's like it's a big secret. When is the guberment going to let us know?

Symptoms are not a secret:

From

Ebola virus disease - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ebola virus disease (EVD) or Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF) is the human disease caused by the Ebola virus. Symptoms typically start two days to three weeks after contracting the virus, with a fever, sore throat, muscle pains, and headaches. Typically nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea follow, along with decreased functioning of the liver and kidneys. At this point, some people begin to have problems with bleeding.[1

Where are the rest of the conspiracy theorists?? Remember when AIDS was created by the government to get rid of homosexuals and drug users? And what about the cover up with the UFO at Roswell? And all the aliens in cold storage at Area 51? What about Oboma's birth certificate?

I wear this tin foil hat so the government can't read my mind with all those spy satellites. But it doesn't work with the black helicopters and drones.

Frankly, you should be more concerned with air-borne viruses like TB. All you need to do is get on an airplane with someone with TB and you could get it - for life.

If we have any hope to find a cure for Ebola, then they need to get a patient here in the States. This disease has the potential to be globally devastating, but it's nothing average people here need to worry about. You have to come in direct contact with bodily fluids to get it. The CDC knows what to do, and they have the very best professionals on the case. I'm sure everything will be OK.

I just have no clue why they would bring the patients to our homeland and take the chance of something going wrong.
I would rather send all equipment and doctors to the patient, which IMHO will be much safer and cost effective than when someone makes a mistake and infects the USA.
So what is the true reason for bringing a deadly virus to the states????
I dont want to hear how safe it is why do it in the first place.

It is a great conspiracy for population control.
