I began getting emails from my daughter awhile back with NO SUBJECT. First time, I opened the email to find a link to 'Work at home'. Knowing she wouldn't send me anything like that , I called her, and she verified that she had not sent it nor does she send anything without a 'subject'. Now I get 5-6 emails a week from 'her' (which I delete because of no subject). Other friends and co-workers of her also began getting these emails from 'her'. She had to change her email account due to this. Several years ago, I had this same thing happen with someone I had previously done business with.

My new rule is, if no subject line, d-e-l-e-t-e.

I'M TRYING to be awesome today, but I'M EXHAUSTED from being so freakin' AWESOME YESTERDAY!

You can forward this suspicious email to spoof.paypal.com and they will take action and send you an email back.

Just for information, anyone forwarding an email on to ABUSE@(anyone.com) needs to send the full raw source header. Trust me, if you don't know how to get the full header, don't bother, each system/client is different, but the full header is NOT JUST the From; To, CC; Bcc, Subjec; there is a lot, lot more to a full header.

Without the full header there is not much the IT Professional can do at the other end.
