Exit Plan, this guy may have broke the code

I thought this was hilarious. Not sure if the man is serious or not but thought you all might enjoy as well.

$188.00 a day for nursing home care is pretty cheap. He may need to check his pricing. He is getting a better bargain than what he thought.

A gal I worked with did just that with her husband. They sold the house and went full timing via hotels. They could get long term stay discounts and just travel the country where they wanted to go. Two years into their adventure, I heard they were doing great living out of the trunk of their car.
I've read articles of people doing the same thing w/cruise ships and staying long term. One guy quoted for $80k/year everything is provided and no vehicle/property expense, gourmet meals, entertainment, and doctor onboard.
I've often thought that would be great 1-2 year additional adventure between full timing and settling back into a S&B house.

Thinking outside the box.............and it's a good plan.

$60/day rate is only $1800/30 day....less then many home mortgages especially when you include property taxes and up/keep.

Now I just need to approach her with the idea of selling house and moving into the local motel.
Rich people have lived in hotels ---now we can too.

More Motel 6 then Waldorf but same concept.
Hummmmmmmmmmmmm

You missed that era by about 100 years. My grandad had many stories of his early life as a Hobo. They would leave pieces of cloth tied to a fence of a house near the rails that were handout friendly.

As a kid I shared several meals with Hobos along the tracks. All you had to do was bring something for the pot.

His bubble will burst when he gets sick. Holiday Inn is not going to be his caregiver.
