At some point, there will supposedly be one pass that will work nation wide. However, for now you still need a Sun Pass. Most grocery stores, CVS and other carry them.

I currently have 3, an EZ pass for multiple states, a Sun Pass for FL and GA, and a Good to Go for WA.

If your only concerned with Florida Sun pass and will only be there for a short time, you just drive through them and they take a picture of your license plate and bill you. I was down there last year and it worked just fine.

Yup, "Toll by Plate" In the unmaned tolls.

Maybe a $2.00 surcharge but the Sunpass costs $20.00 to buy.

I think in Chicago that's a $25 fine per booth.

Where's Chicago, FL?

In IL, you can note the booths you pass and pay online if you don't have i-Pass or EZ-Pass. At least that's what the sign says at the end of every tooth booth. I've never had to use it since I have i-Pass.

I-Pass from Illinois, for example, will not work in Florida.

We have a Sun Pass for Florida and an Illinois IPASS and we find that both are handy. We are looking forward to only having to maintain one account and using one toll pass though. It might be cheaper to just get a Sun Pass for Florida so you do not have to pay any service fees along with the toll. I know around the Orlando area, there are lots of toll toads. Some seem to have a toll every couple of miles.

You can get a Sun Pass mini at most drug stores and the service plazas for $5 I believe. Then you get a $5 credit so they are free. They stick to your windshield and are ruined if you remove them so they can not be transferred to another vehicle.

We went for the suction cup transferable one since we sometimes travel in the toad on the turnpike. We were afraid two minis would register four axles twice when towing it.

Lots of info on their web site https://www.sunpass.com/index
