Family

One of my sons 19year old friends who's parents don't work was leaned to joining the service to help out family finances. His first deployment he stepped on a land mine lost both legs at the hips, two fingers and has a lot of metal fragments. It's one thing to join and give you life for you country but it's another thing to ask you child to give his life because you are a sorry !!!!

Wow, now that's a tragedy especially if the parents were capable of working.

Well I guess that's something the parents will have to live with for rest of their lives. That just plain SUCKS!

That brakes my heart. Our children deserve better. I hope that he gets all the help he needs from the Wounded Warrior project.

Unfortunately, from the sound of it, he's parents probably won't appreciate his sacrifices.

Talk about breaks in life. Place that kid to the head of the line for service connected disabilities and therapy provisions our country can give. What's the full story on the parents?

I'm sure the VA will take care of him with those injuries. I just hope if his parents can work, that he gets a place of his own so they don't freeload off his dissability payments.

The soldier needs to get connected with the Wounded Warrior Project if he has not already done so. They along with the VA reps at the military Medical Centers will ensure he is cared for.
