Favorite Campgrounds in Ohio

Hello Fellow Campers,

We are looking to do some camping in Ohio this summer. Need full hook ups with 30 amp and want either swimming with a lake or pool. Trees, hiking, trails for walking and biking. Quiet atmosphere.

If you know of one that you have used before, please send the name so we can check it out. Have been looking but not yet decided on one.

Thank you, Lynne

If you are near Cincinnati you have to go to Winton Woods. I loved it. It was not my first choice but it was closest to my wife's family so that's where we went. I am looking forward to our return next year. This time we are staying longer.

We have stayed at several camp grounds in Ohio and hands down, Our Favorite is Huggy Bear Campground Huggy Bear Campground-RV Campground-Campground USA Their Address is

9065 Ringwald Road Middle Point, Oh. Ph. 419-968-2211

Now keep in mind, it has been a few years since the last time we were up there. But, we really enjoyed the Home made Ice Creams products and the fact that even out in the middle of nowhere, they have their own Pizza oven, Pizza made to order. Golf carts are allowed and free fishing, Swimming pool and pond, They also have a Rv Dealership right next door. One other great thing they offered, Firewood delivered right to your doorstep. Either way, enjoy your time where ever you stay and be safe, God Bless Y'all.

We like Hocking Hills State Park, very scenic, lots to see and do in the area. Does have a pool but only water and electric. Plenty of private camp grounds to chose from nearby. Also Indian Lake State Park, has full hook ups and a swimming beach. A lot of the State Parks in Ohio have lost a lot of their trees to the Ash bore and the full hook ups at Indian Lake lost a lot of shade.
