You don't have to be the fastest runner to get away from the bear, you just need to
be faster than one of the other runners.....

There are three kinds of men. The one that learns by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves.

My favorite quote is from Michael Ableman's Fields of Plenty book... "A Farmer's idea of ripe is standing in the orchard under the tree, reaching up and grasping one that calls to you, with color that is deep and complete and has no memory of green. A farmer's ripe has a fragrance that seizes you, the fruit gives a little when you touch it and releases itself easily to your hand. It's one of the special rewards of hard work done well. A private and intimate event, reverently received in the quiet of a moment on land that is well loved and nurtured."

For every 60 seconds that YOU spend in anger, YOU loose a full minute of happiness.

When God gifted you this job He may not have intended it to be your only job, but He intended how YOU perform that job to be a gift back to Him.

A person who is 90% intelligent thinks he knows it all but often can't figure his way out of the bag. A person with 90% common sense can get out of the bag but doesn't know why or where to go.

If you have 50% intelligence and 50% common sense, you can do both.

Be chary of giving advice, wise men don't need it and fools won't heed it

Politics is the 2nd oldest occupation and often resembles the 1st.

Government is like a baby: an alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other.

If more government is the answer, then it was a really stupid question.

Here's my strategy on the Cold War: we win, they lose.

How can a president not be an actor?

Ronald Reagan

Whether you think you can, or you think you can't; either way, you're right.
