I served, and one of the reasons we serve is to protect the right of protest we have in our country. You may not like it, but that's free speech.

Trust me if this thread was not allowed a moderator would have been ALL over this thread and it would have been shut down quickly.

My advice for anyone that no longer respects or loves our flag, our national anthem or refuses to recite the Pledge of Allegiance Under God surely no longer deserves to be a US Citizen so they are encouraged to buy a one-way ticket out of our country and live somewhere else.

It is a very sad time in our country right now with the amount of people who claim to be US Citizens but have no PRIDE in that FACT and of living in what used to be the best, strongest, and most powerful country in the world.

It will happen once again, trust me!

I served also and yes, one of the rights we served to protect is his right to protest. We all also have to right to choose not to watch & support his display of disrespect. While he is wearing the uniform and "on the clock", the team owners have the right to mandate a certain level of behavior. They either exercise that right or they agree by their silence.

I don't view it as a right of protest as much as RESPECT. Just look at the picture by my name and what Capt. Call said!!!

All that said, it is INTERESTING to read all these comments. Thank you ALL.

I also served, but the right to protest ends while you're at work. All these people are on the clock when they are showing their lack of respect.

The NFL is full of thugs, ungreatful and disrepectable I stopped watching years ago.

Big waste of time, rather go exploring with the wife

I don't watch or care aythig about the NFL or pro football. The way those over payed, show boat, Thugs act I have o use for them. I didn't even know what a Kaepernick was until all this started. If we want this to stop all we have to do is stop watching or going to their games. Will it happen? Of course not. So I guess we just have to live with these infants.

I fully agree with the rights of stupid folks to speak.

There is zero right to be heard.

Most companies have strict rules regarding actions while on company time and on personal time.

These guys may be salaried folks but safe to assume if in uniform at the stadium at the anthem that he is on the clock so any such policy should be in play and enforced.

NFL needs to come out and make a clear statement regarding this and if no policy regarding things like this is in place Make make it happen.

Was not a fan and the NFL I is I is full of stupidity...needs to be corrected,

FED UP

Too many folks too busy trying to be politically correct (or not)....while the rest of us yawn.
Too many complaints about things we cannot fix.....while the rest of is revel in the camping life and the great things to see and do.
I liked pro football when the top players made $100K and loved the game, and season tickets at the 50 just 3 rows up were 11 bucks per game....but we are much happier now to poke at the campfire and ponder tomorrow. But I love high school football!
I let buttheads be that, and not get in their way.
We are better than twits making silly controversy. We are campers, patriots, and just plain hard workers.
Never let the lesser minds win!

I admire your post and agree completely. If Kapernickysnickydicky really wanted to make a difference he could donate to a worthy cause that supports his position, like Lebron is doing in Akron. (and many other athletes). Why do all the bone heads get all of the attention?

I will not watch the NFL because of this. Voting with my wallet. Will not support these people. I would however chip in a few bucks to relocate them to Syria.
