Feel like a child on Christmas morning

We bought our first motorhome in February, brought it home in April. We had no time to even use it for even one short trip as I had to work in China for six weeks and just got back. We called some near by friends that live on the shore of lake Winnebago here in Wisconsin and today will drive there, about an hour away, and have our first overnighter ever in an RV. :-)

Thanks to all of the comments , ideas, suggestions on these forums we feel prepared and are both so excited, just like Christmas morning.

Dave and Kathy

Keep us posted on your trip.

What was the hardest thing to figure out?

Back home safe, no problems at all. Only drove an hour to a friends lake home, parked in their driveway. The only slight problem was getting the HWH stabilizer jacks to go back fully in stowed position. I think they needed help with a long 2x4 because they have not been used much. After I got back home I lowered them, wiped down with WD40, and now they retract fine.

Learning which drawers had what things in them and what light switches control which lights was the hardest thing to learn and remember. Well....I don't really think I will remember but hey, it doesn't really matter.

So, I some evening in an RV park you see an RV with the inside and outside lights going on and off and on and off...it is not an SOS. :-)

Congrats!

I was telling my wife today how much fun it to have a such a machine! That as boys, things with big engines, and buttons, and knobs, and levers, and stuff is just one of those things! And to forgive for looking at pictures of yet even more motorhomes half the day

Glad your first outing was a success. Sounds like nothing broke, went wrong, had issues, and you didn't knock your head on the edge of a slide - that's all good news.

My wife just nudged me and said "half the day?". I'm on my 4th coach, trading up as we went. I think my HR pusher will suit me well for a long time. We're having fun in ours this summer, 50 amp hookups rock!
