I would have liked to have posted this in the Military/Veteran section, but that is reserved for RV Related topics. So here it is in the conversation section.

If you don't think that our Women In Service make a difference, read the following article in the NY Times. While in there reading, click on some of the side bars for slide show and video.

Good article Wayne. Many thanks for posting so we would not forget our ''Lady Fighters'' that are putting it on the line in a far away land.
Maybe I am just getting old but can someone really tell me why we are in Afghanistan and kinda what we are trying to accomplish? Use small words and type slow cause I aint as sharp as I use to be........

God bless our troops and bring them home safe and soon
God bless our vets... Hug one on Nov 11......

Very informative article Wayne.
SeeJay, if there is an answer it would be politically charged, and therefore not acceptable for this forum.

Yep homelesshobo, LOUD AND CLEAR.......
I guess it is kinda like ''pushin' clouds around with a pitch fork''. For some selected few, it may have a real purpose that I dont understand and it accomplishes little and costs us our best and brightest and when the ''day is done'' everything looks about the same.

Nuff said b4 I get kicked in the pants ..........

God protect our troops and bring them home safe and soon.
God bless our vets that paid for our freedom with their blood......

BAM = Beautiful American Marine.

OK not the way I remember it from the early 60's but much more acceptable.
