Finding Weirdness in a Hidden Panel

Today I pulled a panel from within a cabinet looking for interior access to my air horns. What I found were hidden books and playing cards and an unopened double CD from Dr. Demento.

Some of the playing cards are never opened, and some are used. Neither the books or cards seem to be of any value, and contain nothing hidden in the books or cards.

There was a book on porn video's. Maybe the previous owner had an addiction to gambling, porn and buying weird CD's and was hiding it from the wife.

Two of the books were AAA travel guides - quite valuable and must be hidden.

That is bizarre to say the least! There's got to be a story behind that stuff being stashed there.

I have rental properties and I once bought a home and immediately started doing some upgrades and remodel. I decided to add a light and ceiling fan to the living area and I had to go into the attic to run the necessary electric.

While up there I found an unopened 5th of Jim Beam with a note attached;

"To whomever finds this, I hope you enjoy the whiskey as much as we did building this house, John & Terry - August 1961"

And yes, I did enjoy it!

That's a great find, I just got junk - and a mystery. Why hide junk? And, I wonder what else is hidden?

Give me my stuff back, and ignore the man behind the curtain.

Gee, I don't know, but I think if I had to have a Dr. Demento CD I would probably hide it too.

Your find has to go under the heading of Bizarre to say the least.

We bought a used TT about 12 years ago - didn't have a hidden panel but the stuff behind the sofa cushions have been well used since - a brand new 3 cell Mag light and a new Spyderco police knife along with a couple bucks in change. My guess is that the PO was a cop.
