Fire Pits-Size

We just became seasonal campers and are starting from scratch with our site. I am having a hard time deciding of what size of a fire pit to make. We have a 44 inch at home, but seems too big. I can get a fire pit kit from a hardware store, but it is 28 and seems to small. Does anyone have any input on what size fire pit I should create. Obviously from there I need to find a ring...lol.
Thanks in advance.

Most of the RV parks I've stayed at where the lady state national or even privately owned have fire pits where you park if they allow you to use a fire pit not sure why you would want to make one.?

Saw one fire ring made from a big truck rim in a private campground. Looked like it did the job

Fire Pit

The site has no fire pit on it. I have to either bring a portable one or make one, which is what I want to do because this is our permanent site now.
I just can't decide on a size.

My fire pit size was determined by the size that fit on top of my wood box on rear hitch.

Flame Genni pellet fire pit. Real fire, little or no smoke, and very little mess. I ordered mine direct but noticed Campers World has them now.
