Thanks all.. mama and baby are doing great,, she was so alert only minutes after birth, my son sent me a cell phone picture and she had her eyes open. We were able to go to Houston on Friday to see them and hold the baby,, you know the routine,, argue as to whom has held her the most.
Cigars, well we don't smoke but can buy some, you will need to tell us what to buy, reasonably priced, right

Way more cool than a new RV.

Do they still make those bubble gum cigars?

Congrads! Grand kids are wonderful, Greatgrand kids are even better! Know why Grandparents get along so well with Grand kids? They have a common enemy.

Thanks Dick, I agree, when the grandkids grow up, they have babies and we start the spoiling session all over again, then give them back to mom and dad to listen to them when they are told 'no'
My parents used to buy mine any treats they wanted and look at me and smile.. well it has been payback time for a while now and I just look at the kids and smile.. I have grandchildren from age 2 yrs to 22 yrs ( he is in college) so you know he knows it all and now this precious little girl..

Spent 2 months helping at Indian Sporings RV Resort this summer. Best part was when my 25 year old granddaughter brought her two sons for a week. She said she remembered when Grandpa and Grandma took her here when she was very young and now she wanted her sons to have the same memories. My son, her Dad, rented a very large class C bus and brought Granddaughter, sons and her husband for the visit. Son, grandson and greatgrandson got into kite flying. Greatgrandpa got to watch and buy kites. I did get a bit winded trying to keep up with the two year old! Also had our 4 y.o. granddaughter with us and she went skinny dipping with Grandma (who did not dip, thank you) in a very private hot spring. RVing is the only way to go. My Dad, who is about 89, also loves his greatgreatgrand kids. Any thing they ask for he will get for them.

Sorry, that should be Indian Springs, not Sporings. Have no idea what a Sporing is. Does sound interesting though.

It could be the keys on the keyboard are just too small.. that is my husbands complaint when he mispells something.
Do you remember when your kids were small, they had to share, like candy, sodas' if they were lucky, etc and now we just give the grandkids their own, My three used to say 'don't let Ernie do the dividing" ,, cause he would take a candy bar, cut it in three pieces, measure and if one was a little larger, take a bite out and then remeasure. They still pick on him for that.
yea, grandkids are a pleasure but I do understand about not keeping up with them.. and I know we are not 'old' so it must be we are just out of shape..
take care
