First Outing of the Year-when do you start camping each season?

We will set up camp for the first time this year this weekend. Patterson Harbor at Harlan County Reservoir for the Polar Plunge Fundraiser to provide funds to support and mentor children in the area, great cause! Followed by a St. Patty's Day Party and Karaoke at the Beach Bar! It looks like the weather in Nebraska will cooperate this weekend, and we are ready to start spending our weekend in our "Home on Wheels!"

We just came back from 3 days at Lake Wateree SC. Great weather! Had the campground to ourselves. Went bike riding, hiking, and fishing.

As soon as I get home from sea this weekend plan to do some outfitting on the MH and by the beginning of April go somewhere. If the weather in NY will not cooperate we will just point it south until the outside temperature is warmer than the inside temperature!!

Any time now. We will look for a dry day to take the cover of the RV and after some maintenance we will be off and camping

We have no season here in California and can use our coach all year. I feel sorry for those of you back east with your RV's buried under snow. However, I grew up in Pennsylvania and miss having four seasons.

Up here in on the Canadian West Coast, we are about to unpack our home on wheels. We are limited to heading south on our excursions for the moment as it is still "winter" to the east and north of us but the time is starting to come fast.

It's been the worst winter in recent history here in Jersey. We vacationed down in Gulf Shores over Christmas and the weather was rainy, cold, and windy so that wasn't much of an escape. We're booked at a local spot the first weekend in April and can't wait. We drove by the CG this weekend and it was still covered with snow! We're hopeful that it'll be thawed out by then.

On the bright side, we were able to take the bike out last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had planned on camping last weekend: got almost 3 inches of rain and everything was a muddy mess.

We had planned on camping this weekend: the RV show is in town and Jordan Lake campground is nearly full.

So hopefully we will begin our season next weekend.

We will head out in 2 weeks, hoping the temps stay above freezing while driving, That is the only problem I foresee.
