Just wondering if all our members who are in Florida had any problems with last nights tornadoes...

I'm in Crystal River about 40 west of Lady Lake. Some here went to the rec hall around 3AM. We just stuck it out in bed in the motorhome.

We are in the St. Petersburg area and were not affected by the storms.
We did have a severe thunderstorm around 6AM, heard thunder in the distance and as it came closer was surprised that we had so little rain and wind, then the severe cell hit and we had major wind and rain for about 10 minutes. Checking news station I was surprised at what I saw. Missed the hurricanes and then get the storms with tornado cells.
Prayers for all affected.

We are hanging out at Sun n Fun in Sarasota . We had several inches of rain and a lot of lightning and thunder but no tornados here. I am told that happened 50 miles north of here.

We are safe and sound in Haines City at Central Park about 60 miles south of Lady Lake and The Villages. We had a lot of rain and high winds.
My sister and her husband were staying about 4 or 5 miles south of Lady Lake, they had no problems. They were safe and had electric power at the campground.
A friend of ours just bought a home in The Villages about 10 months ago, called him and he just lost some siding but the houses on the next street were destroyed. He was very lucky and he had electric power when I talked with him at noon Friday. We will visit with him in the next few weeks.
