I also belong to 3 different rally clubs, all of which get our club insurance by being "chapters" of FMCA. I know a number of folks who have mail forwarding by them, we're not fulltiming yet but would consider that for mail handling when we start.

I was able to buy my Michelin tires from my local Sam's Club.....$25 each LESS than the FMCA program. (6 x $25 =$150), and Sam's Club saved me $7.50 each for disposal, (another $45).
Now that FMCAssist is no longer free with a membership I have dropped FMCA and applied the yearly dues to an pay assist program premium.

I joined FMCA because I needed new Tires. I purchased 6 new tires so he membership fee was well worth it for me. Jury is out on continuing FMCA membership as we camp in Forrest Service, Corps of Eng. campgrounds and and also volunteer at campgrounds so we have a free site as long as we volunteer. Not a rally type person.

FMCA is great...... if you use it. there are many different clubs within the organization.... if you join them (another fee or additional dues required). They have regional and national rallies every year. Agin only good if you enjoy going to these rallies. From a social stand point many find the FMCA worth while. They have a good magazine. They are in process of adding additional member benefits. the Advantage Tire program saved me over 800 bucks. Be it good Sam, FMCA or the many Camp ground memberships they are only wiorth it if you USE them. You can purchase Coach Net without belonging to FMCA.

You do have to expend a little energy to reap the benefits as with any club. We're charter life members of GS club too, and the same with them. Have to use the benefits they offer. If you don't try how will you know?

Tried that, Costco doesn't work on 22.5 tires.

Been a member since 2005. I do use enough of the benefits to make the business case for membership. However, that is a small part of the reason why I would keep the membership. The value one receives from any organization is in the eyes of the beholder. Belonging to FMCA, GS or any other RV organization is the same as buying an RV in the first place. It is a way of life decision. If the organization will be part of how you view your RV lifestyle, then one would join.

I just consider it support for the RV (our) lifestyle.
I also do not partake of the benefits, but hey, I got the EGG.
