I have a 2004 Ford Explorer XLT. I have misplaced the code for my keyless entry. Does anyone know if/where I can find it. Ford help says they don't know what it is. I have to go to a Ford dealer. My operators manual says it is on the computer module I found the computer module but can't see it very well. It is located behind cables and other "stuff". Ford dealers want $125. I looked at an old Ford forum and was told where their's was located but on a different model or year. Several possible locations. Under the rear deck under the jack, behind the molding for the seat belt on the right side rear passenger side and under the dash defroster molding. Nothing. Anyone know for sure where it is?

Google is your friend... this thread looks promising:Ford Explorer; Keyless entry code automobile forum

Note: "Answer #3 should get you the code. I have a 2005, and a person who has a 2004 gave me the info, and the code was there."

Went there, couldn't find it with any of the suggestions. What I didn't state in my original post was my Explorer is 4 wheel drive and has an optional third seat. Maybe that makes a difference.
