Rates that high would be devastating to the economy, without a doubt. It's not just about our wishes for better returns, it's about the health of the economy for all Americans.

I believe there will be a huge market correction and prices will be very slow to rise.

I dunno.....this economy has been carried on the backs of the savers (versus the debtors) for quite a few years. Low interest rates may be good for the debtors, but they haven't done the savers any favors.

Be a great buying time if we had anything left to buy with. Now you are REALLY going to see how the rich get richer.

Now all we have to do is hope they don't have a run on the banks like they did after the stock market crash in the 20's. That recession we are supposedly climbing out of may look like the good old days if this keeps up.

I'm no expert, but I believe the market was completely oversold. Since the beginning of this volatility back in 08 the market has roared back with little to be optimistic about. I didn't sell anything today, but did sell some holdings earlier this year. Put some back in, but held most in cash. It's gonna be rocky for awhile.

Until both political parties stop name calling and realize that we've been heading toward this for decades and that both parties have to make tough choices it's gonna stay ugly. Just my 2 cents.

Does everyone agree, let's keep all the members of congress in congress next election time? It's good for the economy. Gas will continue to go down. The Market will rise. Hey whose throwing those tomatoes at me.
