There is a lot of waste out there such as Biden spending almost $600,000 for one night in a hotel, a study of duck reproductive organs, the Easter egg roll, cheap haircuts, etc. Why don't some of these programs get cut? Because they really don't have an impact on you and me, that's why.

The big boy is using the sequester on items that are out in public eye such as shutting down the White House tours, closing control towers, etc.

I worked for the Dept of Navy way back when. The same thing happened with the federal budget and my sponsor in DC said I had to cut money from our budget and asked how I was going to do it and still maintain the same level of productivity as I was contracted for. My answer was to lay off 6 employees. Needless to say, my budget did not take a hit.

Yes, I would agree, there is spin, politics, and everything bad about Washington DC...both sides of the isle and down the street and to the right at the White House.

All I'm saying is the impacts are real.

Yes there is waste, some travel will be cut, some stupid expenditures will be found....but as I said in an earlier post...it is not 20 mill here and 10 mil there...it is $1T this year. That is a big number. I can tell you for fact after spending a couple of years squeezing where we could, cutting travel 25% each year for the last several, stopping buying supplies, etc.

You can't get there without pain. We need to take the medicine, undoubtably...to talk how turns this political and the mods and most readers don't like it ... but don't minimize it either. Without a managed and balanced approach, that is well thought out...people are going to hurt...that's what you should rail at...demand your representatives and your president work the issues and fix the problem. At least know and understand who you are going to hurt.

There's too many political comments not related to RVing, so it's time to move on.
