I would be all for putting a nice size export tax on any energy that's sent out of the country. Just like here in Pa with the Marcelus shale. They say we have enough natural gas to last the country 100yrs. So they drill wells alover to get it as fast as they can and want to sell it over seas. Even though we live where all this gas is our price doesn't go down and we won't see any of it. It should sit there till it's needed in this country or tax them enough so theres no profit in selling it else where.

Use to be the same... I do not believe home heating is ULS is it?

Trucks here burn diesel also, so do many cars...
Also comparing socialism and capitalism... I pay .381 per gallon in tax (PA USA), Belgium $4.96.
Figuring Europe's Energy Portal Fuel Prices, Rates for Power & Natural Gas for tax rate an Google for currency conversion.
2.76 is for diesel (Belgium) + .381 tax PA = 3.14..... current price PA 4.099.

Don't get me wrong I still would not want to pay for socialist programs and get some diesel fuel for my troubles....... are we getting a socialized medical program in the US...............

Best price for diesel in Northwestern Pennsylvania today is 3.89. Regular unleaded gasoline is 3.35. Diesel at this price has held steady now for the past month.

So San Joaquin Valley, Bakersfield CA Diesel has finally dropped a bit and currently is $3.95 at Flying J and $3.94 at Sams Club.
Unleaded is $3.37 at Sams Club. Both have dropped about 20 cents per gallon within the last couple of weeks. Hope the downward trend continues.
