Same in Pennsylvania. Yesterday, diesel 3.89, today 4.09. Unleaded hasn't changed! Went through Northeastern Ohio today on way to Cleveland. Same thing but diesel even higher than Pennsylvania -- 4.13. It seems that with news of increase in crude oil prices, diesel goes up immediately, gas shortly after.

Rose 11 cents to 3.85.9 overnight this weekend here in central FL. Twenty cents in the past month. Some stations close to $4. I read somewhere that more is being shipped overseas now that it meets the other world's 15ppm. And, speculating here, maybe getting ready for winter and shifting resources to heating fuel? Whatever. They sure are proud of it.

I still wonder why in Canada a) we're paying the same for regular gas as diesel and b) At about $1.20 per liter and dollar about par and 3.78 liters per US gallon we're paying about $4.54 per gallon. I guess it helps pay for our health care!

It's everywhere. The speculators are getting ready for the winter home heating season so the prices will continue to raise or remain steady unless we happen to have a very mild Winter and even then we will not likely see any relief until Spring (if we still have an functioning economy at that time).

It happens every year around this time. Diesel fuel is pulled from the market to make home heating oil. Diesel and home heating oil are the same with the exception of the red dye. The US also exports Diesel to Europe since they like diesel over there, and we in turn import Gasoline from Europe which keeps the price lower here.
