Being from Georgia, you should have seen my expression the first time I saw all the snow fencing in Wyoming. Couldn't figure what they was trying to catch.

I forgot. They use them in AZ to keep the Stick Lizard off the roads. They get on the pavement and drop their sticks when they can't stick them into the pavement. All these little sticks make the pavement slick.

When a friend and I first went up there to visit her Mom, we wondered the same thing although we kinda figured out what they were before a friend verified it for us.
